How poor were you back in the day?

I used to be poor back when i was younger....im 20 now and live by myself (doing good)

I was so poor back then, if i didnt have a vagina, i wouldnt have had nothing to play with!

cash poor, but culturally rich. we lived w/o indoor plumbing, electricity, or phone. was raising 4 kids alone. did all the wash by hand. sewed my kids clothes by hand, cooked over a wood fire outside. didn't have a car most of the time...rode my horse to the store, which was a 16 mile round trip. had to heat water outside to bathe the kids every night. we used to gather wood every day to make sure we would have a fire to cook with. i was grateful to have a gas-powered chain saw!! i'm so thankful every day that i have a hot shower now.
