Old lumber yards who sold sand, gravel, etc have scales to weigh the trucks and trailers before and after they are loaded to know what to charge. They will probably do it for you

If you live anywhere next to a truck stop most of them have certified scales. It will cost you about $8.50 to weigh.Rule of thumb fuel weighs 8# per gallon.

It varies by truck quit. i've got paid from $8-12. Weight and form of axles does not remember. the rationalization they require Cat Scale is all Cat Scales are qualified precise. different scales would or is probably no longer.

I always get superman to hold my cars up and stand on my bathroom scales but they keep breaking and he is hard to work with. Lumber yard, truck scales on highway, tyson food plants, Any manufactor who trucks by semis. scrap yards. Your dealer can tell you the weights of any of there cars or trucks. If it is stock.

go to places like pepboys or osme auto shop that provides tuning , they will probably have a weighing system to make sure that the car is not overweight after all the tuning has been done!

Your owner's manual should hvae the approximate weight of your car listed somewhere.

Also, if your car has a wikipedia entry, they often will list approximate wieghts.
