I have some type of body odor. I shower every day, and I'm one of the cleanest people you'll ever meet. But everyday, I get looks from strangers as if I smell or something. I asked a family member, and they said I smell okay, and people look at me like that because I'm so pretty, but I'm not stupid. I know there's something. I'm not sexually active. I was raped when I was younger, but they checked me out for everything then. Any advice?

Has anyone actually said that there is an odor? It may be that you are imagining this.
Did you ever see a therapist or rape councilor? It may be that you perceive normal interest that people have in you as dislike or a threat of some kind. Think about talking to someone, your doctor can refer you. Good luck, honey.

Okay, well....Do you use deodorant? I use Secret 'cause it is mighty powerful. ( I like to be SURE I'm not going to sweat, lol...)How about powder? Are you overweight? Look, it really could be that you are reading into things too much. You might be using TOO MUCH perfume, as opposed to having a "body odor".... I have actually been offended by people that wear way to much cologne....Maybe one shower isn't cutting it? I take two a day if I work out.
If it's a vaginal bacterial infection, --the odor is usually "fishy"-- it's really easy to fix with oral meds or topical creams, but the only ones that work are available by Rx only......Do you have a Gynecologist? Tell a Doctor what you told us. They won't laugh, and maybe they can fix your problem....

The only advice I can offer is to go see your doctor. I'm assuming because this is in Women's Health that it's of a personal, gynecological nature. If you shower daily and strangers can still smell it from a distance, it's a problem. I wouldn't wait--it could be a sign or symptom of something more serious.

Step 1) Locate best friend that will tell you the truth.
Step 2) Ask said friend if you have an odor, crooked eyes, or hair that catches on fire every now and then.
Step 3) If Step 2 answer is negative, then get some pictures of yourself. scan them in, dump some on myspace and see if you get friend invites. If you do, your atractive. Congrats. If no invites, then reset Step 1)

If you are certain that something is not right, than you should go see your doctor about this. It could be something that a little medication takes care of, maybe some kind of infection that is messing with your internals. You will never know until you get it checked out though.

if you do have a body odor. drink a glass of water that has a cap full of real lemon concentrate or squeeze juice from a real lemon. this will help detoxify your body of impurities that is possibly causing the odor. during the day drink plenty of water. right now stay away from garlic and onions as they tend to reek from your pores.

i don't see y anyone would think that if you shower daily and are a very clean person, maybe if you have a different style people are checking that out, and i'm not saying stalk someone who looks at u weird, but just watch them to see if they look at anyone else the same way.
