Hitler was just a toy in the hands of fate. He was the manifestation of the collective consciousness of the German people at that time. Had he not been one, he would have never gained the position he did. And if it had not been him, it would have been someone else.
But to answer to your question specifically, all those factors that were mentioned above are valid. Although I doubt if he was psychotic - maybe borderline.

Hitler came from a low class family, and he failed at everything he tried, the last being a house painter. He looked around at others more prosperous than himself, he noticed a lot were Jews. Even though his mother was part Jew, he started blaming his failures on them. Making Jews a target resonated with other losers, because the German economy was bad and getting worse.

He was a ruler using the tools available to him. Some tools may not have been that appropriate, but his use of them was brilliant.

Okay, here's what I know.
Hitler slept with a Jewish Prostitute. He then, came down with syphilis. He blamed her for being "unclean", then all Jews. He called syphilis: a Jewish disease. He wanted to make the perfect race with no diseases. (He wanted revenge-the camps) The syphilis made him even more crazy, when it took over his body.
Yes, Hitler was also, part Jew.

hitler hated jews to such an extent coz his father was jew and often beat him when he was small.
also, he loved his mother. his mother had cancer , and the doctor treating her was jew, and as cancer-cure was not known then, she died, and he always blamed the jewish doctor.
