Do people ever tell you what they would have done in the situation you are in? It usually starts like this "If I was you/ If that was me, I would have done this!" They say this to make you feel weak yet they never ever do what they say they would when they find themselves in similar situations. Why is it that people who talk the most rarely act the most?

They don't think they will ever be in that same situation and when they do appear to be in the same situation they always act the opposite.

It is hard for most to do this, is probably why.
It is nice to tell others how to do this or that, but in reality it usually is not the popular way to go and one does not make friends in reality.
Some of us do not care about making friends but to try and help others.
I am a huge talker, but to say if I were you, or if that was me how on earth can one even remotely pretend to be someone else?? This is impossible!
If I personally have not had a experience as the question asks then I feel do not answer...
Making a person feel weak is not the way to go in my eyes. We have all been there no matter how highly we think of ourselves. Just dismiss the answer and move on..Heck dismiss this is you do not agree with me, this is freedom of choice something everyone needs to remember.
Some people are so busy tripping over there own tongue which is stuck in there cheek they do not realize how they sound.
Good luck and do not let it bother you so much :0) Easier said then done I know all to well....

Because if they *could* act the way they tell you to, they wouldn't need to talk such a good game. Since they obviously can't do better, they have to make you feel bad by telling you what you "should" have done.

It's some kind of compensation for their own inadequacies. Don't let them get to you.

its easier for people to talk than act. you shouldnt listen to anybody because most people will or have probably done what they say not to do. just be you and learn from your mistakes. do what makes you happy and dont pay attention to people. Most are just talkers anyway. If you do listen, listen to people with credibility and integrity. Hope this helps.

" consider saying if i couldnt help my self, if i were u" lol . i think i might have to practice my own advise. lol
