That totally depends on the pointe shoe you end up buying. Some (but not all) pointe shoes are sized 2 or 3 sizes down from a street shoe size, so if you wear a 7 street shoe you would wear a size 5 pointe shoe (in Capezios).
However, not all pointe shoes are sized the same, so it's going to depend on which brand you end up with.
You'll need to go to a store that fits pointe shoes and try on a lot to find the ones that fit best. The person fitting the pointe shoes will want to know your street shoe size and she'll be able to find the equivalent in a pair of Blochs or Freeds or Capezios or Gaynor Mindens, etc., because she'll be familiar with how each brand sizes their shoes.
Hope that helps!

Sizing of a pointe shoe really requires a fitting. It is difficult to rely on street shoe size. point shoes are a bit tighter than most street shoes and there is an extra lentgh that is primarily padding and a block.

You shouldn't have to get a different size. Pointed shoes are made that bit longer to allow for this. they taper off beyond your big toe, if you see what I mean.

i find pointed shoes slimmer in width therefore perhaps because i have wide feet i have to sometimes buy a larger size, not because of the length but because of the width, problem.
