sale signs dont get taken down anymore in London. If anything they get swapped from 'Christmas Sales' to 'January Sales' to 'Easter Sales' to 'Summer Sales' to 'Biggest Ever Sale Now On!!!' and so on and so forth...

They will last for at least the first week in Jan and maybe part, if not, all of the second week. The sales start taping off after mid Jan. Basically the sales stop when they have cleared the stock they couldn't sell in time for Christmas.

They don't call them "January Sales" for nothing - they go on well into 2007. Boxing Day is just the start of them.

They get going properly in January but some do start on Boxing Day
