Some people show a wisdom beyond their years. Some people attribute it to more intelligence, others to just having learned a lot about life in a very short time. Still others believe in reincarnation - that wisdom is the accumulation of several lifetimes. Forgetting the obvious religious pinnings behind reincarnation, could reincarnation be an actual possibility, or do you get one shot to make your mark then *poof* off to eternity in heaven or hell (or blissful nothingness, or a puff of cosmic energy, etc...

Here's a thought: nothing in nature seems to be wasted..it's all recycled. I think everyone would agree with that...the leaves fall off the tree and become mulch, etc. Why not humans as well?

There isn't any provable theory of reincarnation..(or anything else in any religion for that matter) but it does make sense that an overly intelligent (talented, etc.) child might be working on life # 246, doesn't it?

The universe doesn't like to waste anything...how much more important is this when we're dealing with humans?
All those years learning (sometimes painfully!) life lessons and after fifty, sixty, seventy years it all goes down the drain?
Talk about criminal waste!

Ever feel terribly sorry for someone with a horrible disfigurement? Ever wonder why someone is gay? Ever ponder the injustice of some absolute fool being born into power and wealth and using it badly?

Believers in reincarnation have the answers to these questions..but yours is about accumulated wisdom...
If you've lived many lives and learned many lessons...it stands to reason (if you subscribe to the theory that nothing is ever lost) that you would end up in THIS life with some good baggage.
But no one is going to come back and tell us reincarnation is or isn't a reality. Maybe we're meant to see the clues...i.e., a child (such as Mozart composing intricate pieces of music at the age of five) and ask ourselves if this is an indication that we live again..maybe many times.

One thing is certain..there are people who are born unusually wise, talented,etc..and they exhibit this intelligence from a very early age.
Does it just come from good genes? Is it personality? Being unusually quick to learn?

Again..no definite answers..but in just about every religion going...I notice that people are asked to take things 'on faith'...There's no proof of what is taught in various religions...people are asked to make some sort of leap of faith and swallow it whole..
I guess the same goes for reincarnation. (except that you are NOT threatened with eternal damnation of you DON"T believe)

Ultimately, we probably have to decide for ourselves what we believe in and our chances of being 'right' are as good as the Hindu, the Catholic, the Baptist, etc.

To address the previous person's anwer to your question; It is not correct at all to say there is "absolutly no proof". It would be more accurate to say there is no conclusive scientific proof. Without going into too much detail I direct you to an easy read on this; "Reincarnation" by Vickie McKenzie.

To your actual question: Wisdom is such a subjective word. To me it has both meanings you describe. You can attain wisdom via your current life. And you can "retain" wisdom from previous lives but only if somehow this wisdom is reawakened in you by someone/something. I think it is very possible that the wisdom you speak of can "lay low" if it is not found within us.
Of course you have to remeber that it is not "us" that continues to live through various lives. Only our conscieceness continues to be reborn so our personalities are likely to change from life to life.
As for wisdom beyond you years, I have never experienced or heard of this from people I know or have read about so I question whether it realy exists unless a child had been indocrinated by a parent etc.

the theory of reincarnation is thoroughly with out starting off position interior the Bible, which obviously tells us that we die once and then face judgment (Hebrews 9:27). The Bible under no circumstances mentions human beings having a 2d chance at existence, or coming decrease back as different human beings or animals. Jesus advised the criminal on the bypass, "at present you'd be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:40 3), not "you've yet another chance to stay a existence in this earth." Matthew 25:40 six mainly tells us that believers bypass on to eternal existence at the same time as unbelievers bypass onto eternal punishment. Reincarnation has been a fave perception for 1000's of years, regardless of the indisputable fact that it has never been prevalent through Christians or followers of Judaism because it really is contradictory to Scripture. the only passage that some aspect to as information for reincarnation is Matthew 17:10-12 which links John the Baptist with Elijah. regardless of the indisputable fact that, the passage does not say that John the Baptist became Elijah reincarnated, yet truly that he would have fulfilled the prophesy of Elijah coming if the individuals had believed his words and thereby believed in Jesus because the Messiah (Matthew 17:12). the individuals mainly requested John the Baptist if he became Elijah, and he reported "No, i'm not" (John a million:21). perception in reincarnation is an historic phenomenon and is a crucial guiding concept interior maximum individuals of Indian non secular traditions, alongside with Hinduism, Sikhism, and Jainism . Many present day pagans even be counted on reincarnation as carry out somewhat New Age moves, alongside with followers of spiritism. For the Christian, regardless of the indisputable fact that, there might want to be little question: reincarnation is unbiblical and should be rejected as pretend.

regarding reincarnation, for the esoterically inclined---based on "proof" i've experienced i definitely believe in reincarnation. if you, like quite a few others, are "an energy sensitive", i.e. you can consciously and readily sense the frequency/energy/vibrations being emitted by people, places and things, including photos of them, since photos "capture" the frequency, etc., you, also, may find this unusual. there "was" a very high tibetan lama/master named "the" kalu rim(n)poche. he "died" around 1990. his frequency was awesome--a very advanced "human". after his death, as is the tradition, his reincarnation was sought and found. a book was published on the topic, the name of which now escapes me, alas. long story short---the frequencies from the photos of both individuals are identical, or at least, so it seems to me. beyond that bit of anecdotal "evidence", many people i know, and i myself, have "recall" of past lives, some of which feels in no way even remotely delusional. also, i do recall that there is some thinking in esoteric christian circles that jesus taught about reincarnation. the church, however, felt that it might quite possibly, somehow, diminish its power over "the peasants" if they had hope of future existences, etc, and removed all references to it from "the bible".

I believe we are put here for a purpose..whether that purpose is for others to affect our lives or for us to effect others...it is all part of the "big plan". Yes, some have wisdom beyond their years...some not a thread of common sense...but we all have the ability to pursue higher ground...pursue wisdom and pursue better things...it is our duty..no privilege...to be open vessels in the lives of others...to soak up as much information as we can about life and each other and to use it for good. Wisdom is knowing what you want out of life and how to get it..wisdom is seeking out things you haven't done so you can do them and gain more knowledge...wisdom is loving someone so much it hurts and loving even past that. Reincarnation? I don't know..possibly...there are too many things that point to it's probability...the dejavu feelings at times...the knowledge of something you have no idea you know about....that kind of stuff...we have the opportunity to affect many while we are alive..and then even more when we are dead, depending on what our life's path is...(e.g. Shakespeare, james brown, carl sandburg, robert frost, etc.) One thing I know for sure is that we need to be intentional in our feelings about life, about those around us....intentional in how we approach ourselves...and our abilities to learn on a daily basis. When we are...that is when true wisdom happens..

Wisdom (described in 1 Corinthians 2:7) comes from God and other advanced souls through the Holy Spirit (as described in John 14) into your conscious mind. A person who opens this communication portal in their youth manifests wisdom early in life. To open this you need only to invite God into your mind to be your guide. However, you may be a person like me who pretended to know the truth for many years was too proud to ask for help and wasted a lot of time before actually knowing this wisdom. We each have a community of souls waiting to assist us in knowing this wisdom. I have met several of my guides and can vouch for this as a fact. If you faithfully pursue this wisdom reincarnation will not be part of your future. You have enough additional responsibilities to keep you very busy after this life without replaying the same song again.

Since there, as yet,is absolutely no proof of the latter, I would say the former.
