The wii is a completely different machine to the PS3.
The PS3 is going for the graphics in wow factor of gaming. Increasing realism to a new level with its new processor.
The wii is a FUN machine and Nintendo have gone back to making games that were fun and simple to play. They have the added element with the control that gives you a new way of game play. Remember the PS3 is something like 4 (not sure on this) times more power full at making the graphics.
Wii is my fave any day ( and also much more reasonably priced)

The Wii was up to my expectations, I've tried both, the PS3 is good but until better games come out I dont think its worth it.

i think the wii actually surprised me on how awesome it is. The ps3 really hasn't show anything that makes it stand out, but the wii has some really awesome games and its fun to play.
