I have kids to so I know how important the sleep is.lol Maybe get a early nap in if you can.
But you can make it a nice romantic thing at home have your own little party with the kids and when they are asleep light the candles and turn on the romantic music and wait for the countdown. Maybe go to bed I am sure there are lots of fun things you can do there.

We stay home with family and friends, rent videos, order pizzas and make ice cream sundaes! We toast with a glass of beer or wine at midnight! I hate being on the roads!
I fall asleep thanking GOd for the past year, and asking for His help to be faithful and obedient this coming year.

Usually can't stay up until midnight, so I end up going to bed. Otherwise, it's just another night. Might watch some of the festivities on television. Happy New Years!

Probably going to stay at home this year so I don't have to deal with all the traffic and worry about all the drunks out there. I'll probably make a nice dinner for me and my fiancee and maybe get some booze to drink at home. Its a lot better than going to the bars and worrying about who is going to drive and all and not drinking too much so I don't get busted.

We usually go to one of our friends houses or to the Polish lads over the street for a bit of a party, this year we are babysitting our great nephew so our niece can go out with her fella, shes stayed in all Christmas and deserves a night out.

On my own, I'll eat too much shellfish (that's a new tradition), & stay up late to watch Jools Holland's Hootennany on BBC2 (as usual. I've been extremely happy to do so for the last 5 years). I guess I'll jump up & down on my sofa, sing along thanks to the subtitling (bit like karaoke, that way).
I'll be a bit blue at midnight CET, but not anymore at midnight GMT!!!

This year its just going to be me and the kids so I will probably let them stay up late this once to celebrate the new year. My husband and I used to invite friends over play games and drink but he works nights now and has to work new years. I think this year the kids and I will just stay up late and watch movies until midnight, lol.
