my roommate is noisy at night, and never cleans, so I want to report him for being a dooche bag

Thats a lame thing to do. I could argue for hours about why that isn't stealling but all I will say here is this. No one loses anything from movies being burnt, actors get their pay up front. The only people that lose money are the corporate thugs.
You dont like your roomate so you are going to turn him into the pigs? They will crucify him for "digital rights violations". He will owe hundreds of thousands of dollars and will likely go to jail. Are you really so selfish that you would do that to someone?

Tell him face to face to clean up and do his fair share. Then tell him to quiet the f**k up at night. Don't be a rat fink though. That'll only look bad on your part and he'll probably know it was you anyways.
Ball up and do it to his face. He'll respect you for that.

why would you snitch on your roommate? and how do you know for sure that they are "illegal" did you help them or see them illegaly obtain them? if so then your are just as guilty and besides i dont think you can get in trouble for copying them unless you are involved in some kind of Piracy ??
