If you are behind a firewall or router you will have to take one more step to find your private IP address:

Start, run, type command then hit enter
type ipconfig /all
look for the line that says IP address

Your Local (LAN) address can be found by going to a command prompt and typing ipconfig /all

You outgoing IP address can be identified at:

1) In control panel, click network connections. Right click local area connection, click status, then details; or
2) Using DOS, click run, cmd. Type ipconfig /all in prompt

START> ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > CMD (COMMAND PROMPT) and type " ipconfig " and press return(enter)
