the other day my brother and i got in some trouble well anyway we both got sent to our room. my brother is only 9 and when my dad got home i heard through the wall that my brother was getting spanked.
about 10 minutes later my dad came in and told me that i am getting spanked too. i tried to get out of there but he spanked me like i was 9. i'm 14 and too big for this. he even did it on my bare butt. how do i tell my parents i am too big for this.

Honestly sweetheart parents feel that as long as you are their child you are never too big. My uncle is 40 and my grandma spanked him it was kind of funny. Anyways, I agree with you when I was 15 I felt like it was dumb and I was too big. So, instead we started yelling and talking I kind of wished I would've got spanked. Maybe try opening up to your parents and telling them you are too big and you'd rather some type of other punishment. Well, good luck sweetie.

Your not to old to be spanked.
What I did when I got to thinking I was too old to be spanked was I would try not to get one for a period of time--like a week, the month, the summer, etc. When I did get one I told Mom that the thing I hated most about getting it was that I was trying hard not to get one for a month, etc. This impressed her. So by a combination of not doing the things that got me spanked and by letting Mom know that I was really trying not to do those things--the spankings really slowed down and eventually stopped.

Despite you are a teenager it doesn't mean you haven't to be punished in the case you need it, of course!
But any age deserves its specific punition and surely at 14 it's wrong to receive spank!
I can think your dad still is a old-fashioned man or he likes to see your buttocks spanking them!
Anyway, you could talk him about that as the opportunity comes.

From the sound of some of the answers I've read, some people don't seem to remember what it's like to be your age...? Sometimes children rebel - it's how they test their boundaries - that's a fact of life. However, as I told another - you get what you give. If you want your parents to respect you, YOU have to respect THEIR wishes - which includes being obedient. There are consequences to every choice we make - good or bad.
I am not against corporal punishment (when done PROPERLY), but you are DEFINITELY too old for a spanking - especially on the bare bottom by a member of the opposite sex! Your body is changing and that's a VERY private matter. It's one thing for a father to change his infant daughter's diaper, but it's completely inappropriate for him to see you naked now! Age appropriate punishment for you would be something like getting grounded or sent to your room with no phone, no tv, no computer, etc. I don't know what your relationship with your parents is like, but if you are able to talk to them, I highly recommend approaching them respectfully with something like "I'm uncomfortable about something and I'd like to discuss it with you", and then RESPECTFULLY tell them that you would appreciate a more appropriate punishment when punishment is called for. If that doesn't work, I would recommend confiding in your school counselor or even children's services. I normally DON'T recommend a child contact children's services, because some tend to abuse it to suit their self-centered behavior - but in this situation, it may be necessary.

I agree with you that you are probably too old to get spanked. Maybe you should consider yourself lucky though, the spanking was over quickly, a grounding lasts much longer. Our 12 yr old told us that she wished we would spank her instead of grounding her, then it would be over quickly. But of course, we will not let our kids choose their punishment when they are misbehaving. You sound very mature, so quit goofing off and doing stupid stuff that gets you in trouble.

It's important for kids to learn from their mistakes and often parents punishment does not always fit the mistake, but if your parents believe in spankings please think twice before making decisions that may result in spankings. Take the time to talk to your parents and let them know how you feel and express how you will do your part to avoid that type of outcome again.

Maybe they feel you're not acting your age and you need a more child-ish punishment. Maybe they are tring to tell you something by doing that. Start acting more mature and they'll feel that more mature punishments will be better than spanking. And by the way, you are never to young in your parents eyes.

I agree you are too old to be spanked on your butt. Tell your parents that you are getting too old for that and maybe you can discuss alternative punishments.

As long as u live in your parents house you not too young to be punished. They tryin to disapline you. You lucky you just getting spanked, most people your age get thier *** whipped wit a belt.
