I lost my fiance this year. I have been going through the motions, but nothing is from the heart except for my love for my kids. I was with a visiting friend last week and it was great and I had a nice time with him but I feel nothing. Will this ever stop!?

He passed because he had a heart infection. The doctors claimed he was fine we went to bed one night, I woke up the next morning and he was gone. He was 39 and had been 39 for a week. He kept telling me for months that he was not going to make it and I didn't listen. We both had a flair for drama so I always talked him out of those thoughts but sure enough, he was gone. I go thru periods where I feel abandoned I'm on meds and all but they're not killing the heartbreak.

It was May 13, 2006 that he passed. We had been together for exactly one year. One freaking year of absolute bliss he was my soulmate, the love of my life.

There will always be a spot there that will feel empty but the only thing you can do is invision him with you...remember all they good times you all had together and lock it in your heart and never let it go...no one will be exactly like him...and never try to change anyone 2 be like him...just find someone that brings that spark back...and they will soon feel your heart...not saying your first true love ever has to leave....

It's that feeling where you are completely helpless...there is absolutely nothing that you can do and the anxiety and the emotion probably isn't helping. I've had those feelings and they do go away, with time, and never completely. When you lose someone that is so important to you is a life alterning change. You have to let your heart heal, and until it does, no one else is going to come close to making you happy. It does need to happen though, for your children as well as yourself. Trust your heart though, if it's telling you that this person your seeing is good company, but that's it...then listen to it.

First of all my sympathies go out to you in you loss. I know it is very hard and it seems like your hurt will never go away. I lost my true love and it was so painful. It took years. It got easier as time went on. But there were always little things that would remind me of him and I would be a mess crying. I still miss him, but it has been 3 years now and It is alot lot better. I have moved on. He is still in my heart though. I will always love him. Please believe that there is hope. It will end. Try to remember the good times and laught about them. Good luck!

You aren't alone..i feel the same way...like a piece of your heart, mind, soul, the core of your thoughts and dreams is gone..like you are empty inside... I think it will take time to get back to normal...for both of us...only things that heal that pain is love, time and support from your friends..

You will find the right person when you least expect it. I know you love the guy and that's why you are hurting so bad. You didn't tell us why or how you lost him but time heals all wounds. It will take time but after awhile you will snap out of it.

It is hard to respond to someone who is going through that, as noone knows how you are feeling. Only time will tell, one day you will, when is up to your heart when it's ready to heal. Sorry to hear of your loss, and i will send a prayer bubble up for your heart.
