I keep puting my shuffle on the dock with the computer on, but it keeps taking forever to charge. How long will it take? Oh, and do you have to have itunes open to charge it?

I just got one, and the instructions imply that when it is fully charged it will show green. Mine did not show green after a about four hours of charging. It was either solid orange, or blinked orange occasionally. I got impatient and decided to undock it and just use it.
You dont need iTunes open to charge it.
