What is a byte, and what are the other units of measure for digital information?
A byte is a unit of measure for digital information. A single byte contains eight consecutive bits, and is capable of storing a single ASCII character, like "h".
A kilobyte (KB) is 1,024 bytes, not one thousand bytes as might be expected. This odd number results from the fact that computers use binary (base two) math, instead of a decimal (base ten) system.
Computer storage and memory is often measured in megabytes (MB). A medium-sized novel contains about 1MB of information. 1MB is 1,024 kilobytes, or 1,048,576 (1024x1024) bytes, not one million bytes. Again, this number results from the fact that computers use binary math.
1 kilobyte (KB) is 1,024 bytes
1 MB is 1,024 kilobytes
1 gigabyte (GB) is 1,024MB, or 1,073,741,824 (1024x1024x1024) bytes.
1 terabyte (TB) is 1,024GB; 1TB is about the same amount of information as all of the books in a large library, or roughly 1,610 CDs worth of data.

I'll try to answer this short and simple. A byte is a unit of measurement on how much your computer's hard drive can hold. It seems like your computer is getting too full to install the sims. Just delete some old files and uninstall old games you don't play anymore

a byte is the unit of measure used to measure the amount of storage a computer has, or the amount of storage something on a computer is taking up. if you don't have enough bytes, that means your computer doesn't have enough space to accomodate for the sims deluxe edition. you'll need to make space on your computer for the sims.

From a technical perspective, one KB (kilobytes) is 1024 situations greater effective in area than one byte. One byte consists of of 8 bits. One megabyte equals 1024 kilobytes, and one gigabyte equals 1024 megabytes. an in many situations occurring laptop could have approximately 2 hundred-500 gigabytes of area. yet, to an in many situations occurring person (meaning you have not got OCD), kilobytes and bytes rather do no longer remember, because it does no longer imply lots area on a working laptop or laptop.

Bytes are how your computer measures how much space is left. Delete some pictures, videos, or uninstall old programs to make space for your new game.

I think you're talking about "disk space". Sounds like you need to empty your trash and delete some old files.

"Bytes" are effectively a unit of measurement.

uh...nothing to worry about really...sometimes computers try to hurt themselves out of frustration and thats why you find byte marks on them. You should only become concerned if the memory starts to fail because it could be onset of Ramsheimers disease brought on by stress.
