when i first started benching 2 years ago my max was about 65 pounds. now 2 years later im doing 225. although i continue to get stronger i have not packed on any signifigant amount of size. i am what you would call a hard gainer. i can eat as much as i want and still. not gain signifigant or any weight. any way benching will greatly improve ur strength so go for it

Bench pressing is a staple upper-body exercise. It involves the pectoralis major (big strap of muscle across each boob) as a primary muscle group, the triceps brachii (meat on the back of your arm) as a secondary muscle group, and a ton of stabilizing muscle groups.

If you work hard at it, the benchpress is known for producing fast gains in size and strength. Of course, always get checked out first, and make sure that your first couple of times involve someone that knows what they're doing. From there it's a matter of willpower to keep getting your *** in the gym.

Primarily it has made my back and my shoulders a lot more stronger, and lean looking. I've been seriously weight training for about 14 months now, and literally after three I saw a radical change in how solid and wide my shoulders and back where looking.

As someone above said, keep your *** in the gym and make it regular and eat the proper foods and in no time at all you'll begin to see and feel a difference.
