Ive been with my girlfriend for a year. We've been having ups and downs. Basically, we both have very strong personalities and sometimes pride and ego get in the way when we have disagreements. If we can get over that, we'll be good. Does anyone know where we can go for couples counseling for free or for reasonal fee? Thanks. BTW I live in NYC.

Check in your phone book or on the internet and ask for prices when you call.

Sometimes, letting go seems like the easiest thing to do. But think about this: you've invested so much of your time and energy into another person; you've made a solemn promise; and you still know there's love, even if it's hiding underneath the surface. This website will show you how to save a marriage and avoid divorce, even if you're the only one trying https://tr.im/yxS7o

Call your community services.NY has everything. You seem to know what to do though. You know that pride and ego is getting in your way.So maybe u should talk to your gf about u two.On controling your ego's. Or learn to realize that it is okay to disagree. When u guys get to that point stop and step back and try to re think things...Good luck Plus I know it's easier said then done...Everything takes practice.

I think I would try the church. Most churches have counselors that may be able to help. If you are not married and there are too many problems though, I would consider disolving the relationship while you can still part friends.
