It's just that I know they have really cool music videos and soundtrack song but can you copy them onto your phone, mp3 player or ipod. Is there a way?

"YouTube" belongs to Google who recently bought them out for
1.75billion US$, so things may change or should I say will change
according to Google‘s way of handling clients. I suggest you open
a Gmail account (Yahoo will not be worried) and see what happens.
The Gmail account comes with a lot of free "goodies" and they may add "YouTube" to the package deal. Try it out!

I'm not positive about the cell phone or whichever mp3 player you are using, but if you are using Firefox as your web browser, one extension for Firefox is called video downloader.

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/

If you download that extension for Firefox, watch a YouTube video, and click on the icon while you are watching the video, it will give you a link to download the video. From there, you could probably upload it into iTunes and put it onto your iPod.
