The most famous thing about Lehigh is that their Biology dept has a professor who is probably the most famous Creationist in America.hahahah! Besides which, it's in the Pennsylvania sticks. But although it's not a bad school, no objective person would seriously consider it in any way at the same level as MIT. You have good credentials, and have a fighting chance of getting into MIT, but you lack the Zinger. Many thousands of kids with great credentials are going to be turned down there. You need something big - a serious national win at Science Olympiad, National Math Competition, Westinghouse competition, or some other National level achievement or recognition. You have two years. Make a plan and go for it.

Absolutely!

Once a student is admitted to a college, it is up to them to choose a major. Some areas of study may have restrictions at higher levels due to security concerns, but that would not be English literature.

Yes, absolutely! During undergrad, I took an Asian American Lit class and the professor had come to the US from Taiwan to study English Lit. Like all applicants, you will need to have the right qualifications to gain admission to the university. For international students, you may also need to meet additional requirements (like TOEFL). It's also possible to come to the US for graduate school in English Lit, but you have to meet whatever requirements exist as well. Good Luck!

of course you can.
It's better if you come prepared.
First buy some translated version of major literary work.
You also will have to have hours of hardwork digesting everything that may have a cultural barrier since Enlgish culture may not be the same as where you are form
Be patient and ask many questions before you make this decision.

Yes it is very possible to study English Lit in the U.S.. Programs do not prohibit students from entering a certain major because of their background. In fact, they would probably welcome you for bring diversity to their program.
