When you are at the hoop, visualize yourself making the shot before you take it. When you aren't at the hoop, just imagine yourself making free throws.

BEEF:
Balance, feet shoulder width apart or comfortable... your free throw should be like your normal shot, just not under any pressure from a defender. You should be comfortable in your stance. Normal is having one foot in front of the other, with your toe in an imaginary line across to the middle of your other foot. If you are right handed, right foot forward.
Eyes... eyes should be on your target... aim for the front of the rim and you can hit... the back, the same. Imagine an arrow heading downward in the middle or near the back... hit that... the ball should have a nice arch into the basket not hitting the rim at all.
Elbow... your elbow should be in through your body. This protects your shot from some defenders normally and allows for a more straight, aim-able shot. This motion can be repeated with minimal long term damage to your elbow (vs. side arm throw).
Follow-through, your follow-through tells you how you did... Your hand should be extended and pointing down as if putting your hand through the basket... if your follow-through was off, your shot might have been (most likely was) off. It can still go in.
Talk to your coach or assistant coach, have them watch you and provide feedback.
These are basics... practice shooting cold or with very little warm up simulating having to take a shot after just coming in. Then practice after warming up... then practice dead tired with the obvious simulation being game situation near the end of a quarter, half or game.
You want to shoot a lot using great form. If you struggle, move closer at first and work your way back to the free throw line slowly (at least 5-10 shots then move back).
Keep in mind practice makes permanent.
Only perfect (or near it) practice makes perfect.

All you do is practice. Make sure you have the proper tecneiqke down. Also get a basketball hoop at your home and start practicing. You'll get better with practice. Also stand at the line and focus at the square right above the hoop. Visualize you making the shot. Drible a few times and shoot. More than likely you will start making these shots easy. CONFIDENCE!!!

Ok. First you want your feet staggard [ if you're right handed your right foot should be in front of your lef, vice versa] then bend your knees just a little, then take two dribbles, then aim, then take one more dribble then shoot. I do this in my games and it helps me a lot.

Repetition.....use the same rhythm each time you shoot. Practice your stroke-"easiest shot-you are wide open!!" Just practice and tell your self that...

put your index finger on the little dot of the basketball, and put your other hand on the side of the ball. aim for the backboard.
