My uncle lives in a trailor and has a gopher living under it. Can anyone suggest any ways to get rid of it w/out killing it preferrably.

I have always heard that planting garlic cloves will chase the gophers away. They apparently don't like the smell.

If that doesn't work, there is a product (you could probably find it at the hardware store) that you stake in the ground. It sends either an electric current into the ground, or emits a high intensity sound which will chase the gophers away.

Either way, you will get rid of them without killing them

Tell him to get a Havahart trap. Bait it with an apple. When he catches the gopher, he can then relocate it and release it. These traps are sold at Tractor Supply

Get a cat, I am sure they will not get along and the gopher will move to a safer place! Good Luck!

Kill it. There are lots more where than just the one anyway. (snicker) Watch Caddyshack... great ideas there!

Gophers move in when there is food for them. You need to kill the food, which is normally grubs in the lawn. Kill the grubs, and the gophers move out.

Get a cat, our yard has been mole-free for 20 years, and when we bought this house, we had a MAJOR mole problem. Or you could try a live trap. Call the local wildlife control or animal shelter for advice.
