I just saw it advertised and it seems alot handier than a vacuum cleaner. Does it really pick up everything??

The swiffer products are really good for quick clean ups, but you will still have to use the vaccuum at least once a week for the big stuff. I have all of the products and I use them nightly (I have a crawling baby so I have to keep everything really clean) and they do the job, but I still sweep, mop and do a deep vaccuuming once a week, they don't replace that stuff.

Not really. I have one, and I use it to quickly go over the carpet if I'm expecting company and don't have time to vacuum. I wouldn't suggest it for anything other than a quick clean up job. It does pick stuff up but the replacement pads are pricey and get full quickly.

Is that the little orange plastic doo-dad with the sticky, cardboard pads? It works just fine, but the pad gets full in a hurry and needs changing frequently. It isn't cost-effective.

For a quick carpet clean-up, I find one of those little push ( non-electric) sweepers that pick up dirt, fuzz, pet hair, etc and deposit them in a pan beneath works great. What are those things called? I have an Oreck brand, and it's wonderful.

They are a good quick job, but they don't do any deep cleaning at all. I would definitely stick with a good vacuum, but they are great if you want to tidy up quick before guests show up or anything like that

We have one that we have had for a year. Its nice to have. For quick clean ups. I wouldnt use it to replace your vacuum but for those little every day things yes it really does work.
The downfall is the picker upper gets full very quickly...and it can get spendy. But if you arent using it for your entire house all the time yes they are nice to have

No it's a waste of money. Bought one, doesn't work that great.
