Prince William has been dating Kate Middleton for five years now. She is a commoner that he met when they were at St Andrew's College in Scotland. He doesn't plan to get engaged until he finishes his military training. It seems to be a question of when not if.

Prince William, despite reports is not getting married anytime soon. His highness
has said that he doesn't want to marry until he's @ least 30. William still has a lot to do in his life, he's just beginning his military career. I would gather that seeing his parents' marital difficulties was a contributing factor in his decision to marry when he's a bit older. If he does marry @ 30, he'll only be two yrs younger then his father was when the Prince of Wales married Diana. As an avid royal watcher myself, I thoroughly enjoy reading about the British Royals and also the other Royal families in Europe and eleswhere.
Kate Middleton is a bright young woman, whether she marries into "the firm" or not, she'll go far in life, For those of you that say the Royals are a drain on the British economy, Brit taxpayers paying for the rfam isn't much different then some of our tax $ dollars paying the saleries of the President, V.P. and congressmembers and other elected officials. I know the royal family aren't elected but hereditary, but they are being kept in a fashion they've become accostumed as have our elected officials here. Furthermore, centuries ago when there was an absolute monarchy and a weak parliament, the Brit public paid for the upkeep of the royal court. And if you don't believe me, the facts can be easily sought after by doing your own research.

If and when is not important, what is important is that she, whoever she is, will be another parasite to be kept in luxery at the expense of the poor British taxpayer.
