He doesn't appear to be mad.
Is he a victim on a sophisticated confidence trick or should I be very, very nice to him?

I spoke to him yesterday

Now he is worried about what he will do with the world once it actually belongs to him.

He's a troubled man.

Well, the quote is that "the meek" shall inherit the earth--as in more than one. I think the Meek family is going to have quite an estate fight on their hands. So tell him not to get too confident just yet. And get a good lawyer. I hear his cousin Leroy Meek thinks he's gonna get the whole thing, too.

"This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself. " -Chief Seattle

What kind of neighbor do you want to have? Good luck!

he is half right. you inherit the earth too, we all do! when we die our bodies are sown into the grown and our remains become fertilizer for the soil. you might think he means that he will take and control soil above feet level, but I doubt that is the case

He has found enough humor in his life that you don't need to worry about him. Unfortunately some of us need something to look forward to in order to maintain the sanity. Maybe he has found something.
