It's about an hour and a half drive. La Manga del Mar Menor is actually in Murcia province, but Alicante is the nearest airport.
Depending on exactly where in La Manga you are headed, you may knock a few minutes off the drive....
Have a good stay, it's a lovely area of Spain...

The previous answer has got it about right. Approx an hour and a half to the beginning of the strip. If you are going to the La Manga Golf resort then you can knock 5 minutes off of this time because you reach the resort before the strip. The strip is about 20 kms long, so if you are travelling to a point along there, you will need to factor that in accordingly.
