First the bad news: The thing that could keep you out is your GPA. The typical student at Chicago will have a much higher GPS/

Now the good news: Everything else is stellar. If you do well in your AP classes, they can really bring up your GPA -- and that will no longer be an issue. If you have much higher grades after your Freshman year, then you should address that in your essay.

I had a bad freshman year in college, but did very well after that. I was able to get accepted at several top graduate programs despite that performance because I explained the reasons and proved that I could overcome the one bad year. I suspect that most colleges will discount that one bad year. Even if you don't get into Chicago, you will be able to get into some very good universities.

along with your stats, the only college on your record which you is often ordinary is Illinois. or perhaps then, in case you settle directly to earnings engineering or business employer, your ACT score will placed you interior the decrease 25% of admitted pupils. additionally, it somewhat is Champaign. it somewhat is not spelled like the alchoholic beverage.
