He'll call my name, act like he's stretching and flip me the bronx cheer........... and other times we'll talk about work stuff and out of nowhere out of his mouth spurrs "f@g"..... "you f@g"

He'll say "hey.... did you hear this?" and there it is his middle finger up........

I try not to even look at him if I know he's doing it..........

I know it's a form of harrassment.... but I'm curious as to WHY he does it.

I am nice to him actually. I have a good working relationship with all my co-workers.... and I am part of the HR/payroll department.

I am going out on a limb here...but I believe he doesn't like you much. Maybe you should look at how you act towards him and how you treat him. You might just find the answer.

I'm sorry but it sounds to me that he is acting a tad immature. also some people think its better to let out their frustrations or anger or negative feelings to others rather than to the perosn they want to do it for. An example is he could be having some trouble at the house..and feels tat he can be a jerk at work since he doesnt exactly have to STAY there all the time.

I'm glad that you do know its a form of harrassment..but you should also know that you dont have to take it. You should give him a bit of suprise by walking up to him (privately so not to embarrass him) and politely ask why he does such behavior.

Youd be suprise on what answer he gives (if he does) . Then if he does or doesnt you shoudl tell him how it makes you feel...and then say that if it doesnt stop you can file for harrrassment with the boss. just giving him a warning.

if that doesnt work and it still continues on...give him 3 days and then go and tell. its not snitching ..its doing the right thing. no one has to deal with that.

Who knows why he is telling you this? But it is complete crap! So many young women are single moms living with a bf who may or may not be the father. If you do not have a husband you do not have a family. Why young men brag about their girl friend having their baby but in the self praise never talk about putting the ring of commitment on her finger is beyond me. It is not an old man thing, it has been common for a long time now and the results are terrible. It is not morals or anything like that- it is fact. Kids are coming into the world short of a two person committed partnership. The results are out there. Husband first child second honey! Ask your grandma why.

It sounds like he's just your garden variety pain in the a s s who wants to make the work environment more miserable than it already is...

I would just go to Human Resources and report him for harrassment. Either he will be terminated or given some sort of reprimand for being a jack a s s...sounds like you need to bumper sticker somebody's car HMM???

He's just playing around, I know some people who have adopted the bird as thier wave hello, and consider it a friendly gesture. Personally I think he has a crush on you.

He may have a terrats (spelling is wrong) and can't help himself. Ask him why he does it, if he does it to do it start ignoring him or complaining to the boss. If he has terrats be understanding and ignore the uncontrollable gestures and language and focus on the normal stuff.

Because he is a JERK..........and hasn't grown up yet. And if I were you, you should talk to your boss about his jerk behavior. Or.....you could just come right out and ask him....why do you do that?
