We are both US citizens. What kind of paperwork do we need? She has a passport but I do not.

And yes, I know that it has no legal bearing in the US, but we love each other and would like to have a ceremony somewhere that recognizes that our relationship is just as sacred as any other couple's. It is more than "just a piece of paper" to me!

Well, Yes but other than a piece of paper it's worthless in the US. The only thing you need to be aware of is that if for some reason you needed to legally Divorce, you have to live in Canada a year before you are eligible to do that.

BEST THING TO DO IS GO TO THE CANADIAN CONSULATE OR CALL THEM.
I KNOW IT IS DONE:BUT IT STANDS FOR NOTHING IN THE STATES:YOUR MARRIAGE WILL NOT BE LEGAL IN THE USA.
SO WHY DO IT?
