what makes u think god is all powerful?

talk about yourself buster! I aint afraid of no god or nobody except my grammar. Ok. Fun is over. Now, lets get serious. God is as powerful or weak as we want him to be because after all he is our creation. I think whoever thought of god must be a genius because there are a lot of people behave properly because of his fear. I can't imagine the this world as livable as it is now without god.

If there is a God, God is all-powerful. Otherwise, He's not God, just a very powerful being.
That's a basic tenet of monotheism: God is ultimate, the Alpha and the Omega, otherwise the system makes no sense. God, in any monotheistic religion, is the last word on morality, the creator of all that is, and an all-powerful being. Otherwise, He would not be God.
Now whether or not you believe that is an accurate description of reality - that's another issue entirely.

Everybody is not scared of God. The question is why are YOU scared of God? What sin have you not repented of?
Factually speaking God is not all-powerful. He has no power over my free will or yours.

I'm not scared of God, he is a loving and forgiving God. people fear probably because of what posers of organized religion has been telling them. that's why some people cannot embrace that there is a higher power. my previous boyfriend grew up in the christian home and was taught that if he continued to sin then he would go to H-E-double hockey sticks, unless he prayed. and that is the wrong approach. also its hard to get someone to see that God is good and forgiving when his so called followers are not good examples. no what i mean?

Afraid of God? The only reason to be afraid of him is if you are a bad person, doing bad things. He is a good and loving God, who, yes, is all powerful.

Well, now you can eliminate everybody from your list, because I am not afraid of God. I love Him, respect Him, but sometimes disappoint Him since I am human, but then He knows this.

I agree with Lil Peanut, God isn't about being feared, his about love! and that is the only thing that will save us, if love was far spread as well as his word and no hatred existed, if everyone actually cared about one another, there would be no wars.

everybody? do some research into other than western fascisto/psuedo religions and you may find a much reduced "fear" level, if any ;-)
