Of course! Every dream means something, whether it's about you or someone else. You should always try to interrpret as much of your dreams as remember. If you need help you can always look it up in a dream dictionary. Dreams are a very good way of understand your inner pysche. You should never just brush them off.

a dream is the body's way of telling you that you need to deal with something that has to do with your emotional well being. when you cut your finger, your brain sends a message of pain. without this you would not know how to protect yourself from harm. the emotional self also needs such a mechanism. dreams let you know what to look at.

Yes it is possible. Yes, it has happened to me many times. The unconcious reveals itself through the symbolic imagery of dreams. The images are individual as much as they represent common themes, so you mostly have to try to figure them out on your own.
But it can be helpful in increasing self-knowledge.

Yes of course.
For example, I read in a dream book that if you dream of a person dying (like one of your friends or family members for example), that means that they will live longer.

It's possible, but you have to know what your dream means. If you dream that you've killed your boss it doesn't mean that you are actually capable of doing it. However, you may wake up and realize that you need to be more assertive.

Eeek. I always dream of the things I am most afraid of. Like cannibalistic murderers, grotesque death and crazy stuff like that.
