I regularly feed the birds (& foxes) and also give them the content of my hair brush for nesting as it's really cold in Scotland this time of year, but I woke up on Christmas morning to find a birdie present splashed down my kitchen window.

Given what day it was, is this a sign of good luck, or what?

Yeah, why not? Although strictly speaking, to be good luck, I think they are supposed to poop on your head. Luck is what you make it. They are probably letting you know they are still around and to keep leaving them yummy goodies!

hi, if a bird poos on you then it is meant to be a sign of good luck, if you drop a knife then a man comes to your door, if you put red and white flowers together you will hear of a death soon, if kids and animals take a dislike to someone then he isn't to be trusted, if cows lie down it will rain, if there are a lot of midgets out at night it will be a warm day the next day. if a black cat crosses your path you will have luck, but if a black cat follows you there will be a death, if you save your childs baby teeth and when they are older and have toothache you throw one of the teeth in a stream or river and it is meant to cure the toothache....these are just a few superstitions hope they help

I agree especially given the day, wow!

We had some distant friends visiting from the US & their duaghter got a big splash right in the middle of top of her head in Waterloo!lol.. I didn't at the time it meant good luck but as she was already disillusioned with England, she was really annoyed! (I didn't keep in touch with her to know if she got any good luck out of it).

I do vaguely remember some superstitious notion that bird **** was lucky but I've always thought it pretty gross myself. You didn't ought to feed the foxes though hon, they're probably a menace to everyone else!

Yes i reckon so, cos i think he originally saw u through the kitchen window (and we all know birds cant see the window glass and fly into them sometimes) so he intentionally meant to poop on your head but it hit the glass instead.
