I would like to synthesize a dye, so that is why I am asking. I only want chemical formulas.

If you just want formulas, see below (but I would suggest going to the excellent resource listed in source):

2C10H13N + 1½O2 ----> C20H24N2O2 + H2O

Condensation of 1-amino-2,4-dibromoanthraquinone with aniline, then treatment under pressure with sodium sulphite in a phenol solvent

Condensation of sodium 1-amino-4-bromoanthraquinone-2-sulphonate (bromamine acid) with aniline and a copper salt.

Rember dyes are chemical which can change is colour during chemical reaction or can change the colour of substance in which it is added , an example of dye is methyl orange and phenolphthalein
