This is my first pregnancy. I'm right at 11 weeks along. I've gone to the doc and so far so good (no ultrasound or anything yet). I just want to get opinions on what is normal. (I go back to the doc next week and anything major that arises will be dealt with the doc directly).

My breasts have grown but are not very tender anymore. I'm having mild pain (cramps sorta) in my right or left side and back. And today, I notice I had a slightly pink discharge but no dark red or any clots or anything. This is all normal right? I guess I'm just scared to death of a miscarriage even though I know there is no way to prevent one. I still sound in good shape right?

I agree you should call your Dr, the cramping is whats raising the red flag for me. I dont think that is normal at all.

Better safe than sorry, so call right away.

I bleed throughout my whole first trimester. I am now the mother of a healthy happy 2 month old. There was no reason for it at all. I did go to the doctor and she said sometimes ( and they don't know why) women just bleed. She did tell me that it usually goes away after the first trimester and she was right mine did. I was terrified though and its normal to feel that way. My sister is 11 weeks pregnant and she has had some bleeding off and on as well and her doctor told her everything is ok, and that as long as it does not get red or clotty or soak through pads she will be fine. My doctor also told me the same thing. I would just call your doctor and mention it, they may want you to come in and may give you an ultrasound just to make sure. I hope this helps. Don't worry too much.

I had the same thing happen at 9 wks pregnant...and even though the pregnancy wasn't planned, I freaked out too & was concerned about a miscarriage as well....however, it all turned out OK, none of the symptoms lasted beyond the first day & my OB said that it was more than likely just implantation spotting, etc. So, yes, you are probably OK....I wouldn't worry unless the cramping, spotting, etc. CONTINUES OR WORSENS!

Congratulations & good luck!

Cramping and bleeding are definite signs of a miscarriage starting. lay down and put your feet up, it may stop. Contact your DR right now, if you catch it soon enough you may be able to stop it. Otherwise the fetus was defective and it was meant to be. Try again, miscarriage is fairly common with first pregnancy's.

ANY bleeding, even pink spotting is not normal. Call your doctor so that s/he can examine you ASAP. I recently suffered a miscarriage and it started with a little pink. I wish you all the best, the faster you see your doc, the faster you can get the proper care.

everyone is different, some women have red spotting and have a healthy pregnancy where some women have red spotting and have a miscarriage. there are women i know that had pink spotting during their pregnant and had a miscarriage and their are people i read that had pink spotting and had a healthy pregnancy. you should need to see what happens when you see the doctor.

Check with your doctor even though ur appointment with him/her is not until next week... Your doctor may advice you to have a transvaginal ultrasound (or any tests) to know if there's anything to be concerned about so that precautions for possible complications may be implemented...

OMG, please, please, please, all you pregnant women, do NOT listen entirely to what is posted on here regarding your pregnancies! It is ok to compare stories, or simple things, But when it comes to anything MEDICAL, that would require a DOCTORS opinion, PLEASE do not get all freaked out and scared by NON doctors on this site, and get all worked up by what the answers are.....IF you have ANY concerns, PLEASE call your OBGYN, or go to the health dept. or clinic and talk to a LICENCED DOCTOR!!!!!!.......I guarantee no doctor is sitting here on a regular basis on this site.....I have read so many postings on pregnancy, and sometimes the answers are just for the points, or to scare the hell out of ya, and as a mother and grandmother I can't imagine asking about your pregnancy on a Medical sense, and taking the answers to heart........go see your doctor if you are worried!!!!!!
