If so, how old are you, and why would you like separate bedrooms?

My husband and I already do (he's 44 and I'm 42).....

He snores and swings his arms in his sleep, I kick a lot. We just can't get any sleep when we sleep together, so we sleep in separate rooms. It's no big deal, our sex life hasn't suffered at all because of it, believe me, I think it's even better because we both get a good nights sleep!!!

I'm 34 married 6 years and have recently had the chance to have my own bedroom since my spouse works out of state. He is only home 6 days a month, so the rest of the nights are mine alone! I like the extra room in the bed mostly. I actually, don't think I miss having that other body even in the same bed. It's nice not to hear the snoring, the channel surfing, or disturbing my sleep when he finally comes to bed afer surfing the web.

I'm 45. I would love it, but my hubby would hate it.
He is a twin and I am an only child. I think it goes back to this.
For me, when it's time to SLEEP, I mean business and I want my space and to get a good, uninterrupted night of sleep. I like to sprawl out.
For him, he likes to cocoon up --- like he did in the womb -- and it drives me freaking nuts!
But, we make do in a big ol' king size bed ... that I niavely think we should split down the middle, and he ridiculously thinks "the TOP half is my half." I just enjoy my sleep when he's on night turn.
Make no mistake: I LOVE him and would never want to be without him. Happily married 21 years. Why is it so hard for people to understand that sleep is a very basic human need and if you don't get good sleep (due to other disturbances) it can be as serious as if you were malnourished?

I think I'd like a separate room especially when my hubby is sitting on the computer at all hours or subjecting me to Tech TV or reruns of Star Trek. Besides after nine years of marriage and 5 kids we don't do anything in the bed except sleep and eat so at least if I had my own room I could have more bed space and not have to worry about crumbs in my bed from his cookies!!!!

I'd like to have a separate bedroom just incase, like a guestroom. I love being in the same bed as my husband but sometimes I can't sleep because he hogs the bed, takes the covers or grinds his teeth.

unless one of the two has a sleep disorder or some real strange sleep behavior like kicking or screaming or snores so loud its not bearable then separate bed room may as well be skipped and separate home founds don't waste time on the illusion that its OK not to want to sleep with the spouse its really much more then that and even outsiders can figure that one out.

I am 65, am married to my second wife, and would never ever want separate bedrooms. No point to marriage if it comes to that.
If medical problems then fix them but never sleep apart.

we're both 45,and separate sleeping arrangements work best for us.He has restless leg syndrome, plus he snores when he does sleep. Its a courtesy to me so I can get a decent nights sleep. This however, doesn't keep us from being together ;)
