When applying the acrilic nails they usually file off a great deal of your real nail making it super thin but easier for the acrylic to stick. Because of this, when you get them taken off your nails will be very very thin. Given time they will grow out and the thin will fall off and you will have your regular nail. I have never experienced any long term damage by getting acrylic nails, but if you don't plan to keep them - they will be thin and brittle for awhile after you get rid of them.

If your nails are long and you are just getting acrylic overlay to keep your nails from breaking, they don't file as much off as the do when you get a "full set" but it still probably isn't very good for your nails, at least not in the short term anyway.

Acrylic nails are bad for your actual nails. Because your nails aren't getting the sunlight, and oxygen they need, they become weak. When the Acrylic nails come off your nails are super soft and thin and often have those white marks all over them. Not to mention, because they are so weak, they take a little longer for your actual nails to grow back.

Yes they are they make your real nails thin. If you keep going back to get a fil the thinner they get. Also if you let the acrylic nail grow out without getting a fill as soon as you need it it can develop fungus underneath which is not good. Acrylic nails are beautiful but they really are bad for your real nails.

Yes... But it depends on how long you have them on for. They're bad for you because your nails can not breath, under the acrylic, but if you have them on for like a wedding or something, do NOT, I repeat DO NOT peel them off. It rips the top layer (layers) of your nail off. So to get them off just go to the salon and pay the $10 to get them taken off. you'll just soak your nails in acitone =, and they'll just basically melt off.

yes its definitely bad. it sticks on your nails and it will never come off unless you go back to the same shop and ask them to remove it. but if they did a bad job, and it seems to fall off, it might chip your natural nails off a bit too. a lot of my friends had it,...and all of them swore that they will never ever get it done again.

Because of the chemicals used, I would not put them on my nails. The easiest way to grow nails that are nice is to trim them and round them...
