Well,I don't usually watch TV as I hate being interrupted by the advertisement on TV. Anyway,I only watch TV for news, solving mysteries like CSI and cartoons like Totally Spice just to distress myself. But I usually read books as it helps to improve my English and gaining knowledge from others.Frankly speaking, watching TV won't increase our perspective and knowledge but however it will create a bond between our parents. As thats the only quality time we have with our parents. So,why not just spend 1 to 2 hours with your parents just to create the bond and spend the rest of your free time reading books.

You don't NEED to watch more tv. Soemtimes the more tv u watch, the less informed you are. Unless your watching the news, in which case you can always pick up a newspaper. Then there are books and when all else fails, get out there and see what the world offers.

Everyone turn off your TV right now.

TV is responsible for the dumbing down of the world. I can't think of anything more boring and shallow, crass and mindless. All those stupid commercials and crap sit coms. I really hate the TV. I would rather sit and watch grass grow. I don't know why your parents would tell you to watch more TV - that's gross and really irresponsible. Good for you to be able to make you own judgment.

We should start a resistance group to bring down the networks. Everyone boycott the sh*t they pump into your living room s all day everyday!

i used to watch it a lot...but it was mostly the murder solving stories, CSI, Numbers, and other educational shows...i watch television about, maybe, 2 hours a day, and usually at night. I think i am okay on the amount of television i watch and the shows i watch...my parents told me that i should watch more of it but they are not going to college next year with a 3.7 GPA...so do what you think not what your parents think.

I think tv is a waste of time that can be spent doing other things like spending with my family, reading a good book, crafting etc. My husband and I are seriously thinking of getting rid of our tv.

A lot of times it's just background noise while I pay attention to what I'm really doing. So watching more and only doing one thing could be good.

I think it's awesome that you don't like television. I went without cable for 4 years. . .loved every second of it.
I'd rather rent/watch movies I want to see. . .instead of spending senseless hours myopically watching trash.
Books rule!!
I think most of what is on TV is a complete waste of time that people could spend bettering themselves.

TV is a great way to entertain oneself. I should watch more of it, if only to get away from Yahoo in general. Besides, I have lots of sports to catch up on.
