The shops in our small town do this, but it works only if you have been diligent about collecting a mailing list all year. You have done that, right? Make a pre-Xmas mailing as well as an online annoucement of Day-After-Xmas coupons. Visitors to your website can print out the coupon. The coupon is good ONLY for that one day after Xmas. Try it. People will come. -- Bjo Trimble, Griffin Dyeworks & Fiber Arts

How about offering classes?? You could have them by type of project, age, or ability. As long as the price is inexpensive (no more than $15 per 4 hr class) you could have tons of signups. Remember to limit the number of "students" to allow for enough one-on-one time with the instructor. This will also be a great opportunity for you to start an email mailing list (I am on several for sewing shops) to let everyone when new classes are opening and upcoming sales.

I'm thinking you're not going to get too much business today!
Sorry. Maybe you could say free beads to the first 10 people to visit the store today. But I think people are tired of shopping right now.

Maybe you could put up signs, etc., that you're having free demos of some kind, or a make and take table where a small thing could be learned/made for a small supplies fee or free if you can swing it.
Kids will also be out of school for another week, so orienting those activities toward kids (or at least having them be something that most kids could do with their parents) could bring in a lot of people too.
Good luck!

If your town has a place called World Market, you can find them there. Also try little artsy-type gift shops. I find beaded curtains in lots of shops in the French Quarter. Sometimes I've seen them in Pier One.
