check the website for california state board of education. I have listed it here. I do know California has the highest paid teachers in the U.S. The average salary for a teacher in CA is $54,348. Being a teacher in Mississippi, the state 49th in how much they pay us, $54,348 is a whole lot of money. According to the website it also depends on what district you teach in in CA how much your salary is. I hope this helps.

Go to the district web site and look at the pay scale. You could look at the California Department of Education and they may have different pay scales listed or have a state mandated beginning salary. Each district determines its pay scale. I believe pay scales must be made availiable on each district web site.

If you are referring to teaching in the USA, I suggest you go to the education association website for your state. To find it you can go to www.nea.org and it will guide you to the one for your state. On that site you will be able to find the salaries for teachers in that state.
