Personally, I think he should be exiled instead. By excuting him, we run the risk of making him a martyr and another casualty of our occupation. Considering the present instabilities in iraq, we do not need to introduce an additional variable.

your right killing him might make him a martyer i would just give life in prison, exile is to easy he could still presuade people from the outside and people who testified against him would fear for their lives.

I do not think that any person should be executed. Saddam Hussein has committed many murders, and is guilty of many other horrible crimes, but I think that capital punishment is wrong. There is no case where it should be allowed. Capital punishment goes against my Christian faith; I also just feel it to be wrong. I am also not convinced that killing killers will teach others not to kill. I do, however, believe that mercy and forgiveness can teach people a lot.

I am not saying that we should allow people who have committed murder, atrocities, abuses, and torture to go free. On the contrary, society must be protected and if that means incarcerating a person indefinitely, then so be it.

I just think there are so many problems with the concept of capital punishment that we ought not to do it.

He should hang. The only ones that would consider him a martyr already attack so that won't matter much. Everybody else is for having the gravity of his own weight squeezing the life out of him.
