It depends entirely on where you live. There isn't any great national list of acting auditions, because there isn't any reason to tell people from all over the world, just local people. So you're going to have to find a regional list.

For example, where I live in Washington, DC, there's the Actors's Center (http://www.actorscenter.org/) which lists regional auditions. They have a huge regional audition process for many theaters at once, and there may be something similar in your area. There are also lots of local mailing lists, and you can look in your local newspaper; there's usually a list of auditions in the theater page.

At a national level for films and Broadway theater there's Variety magazine (variety.com).

If you're looking to do theater, you should look for what theaters exist in your area. Look at their web sites and they may have audition announcements. That's especially true of community theaters; for professional theaters, you will have to have serious credentials to even audition.

Look in the theatre/movie section of your local newspapers, in many cities they list auditions for theatre and movies in those sections of the newspaper.

Auditions are local to the city where you live. Call the theatres in your city and ask where they post auditions.

Call the Mayor's Office and ask if they post information about movies being filmed in your city. Ask if they have a website that lists the information.

www.audition.com
Not a perfect resource, but good.

Also google "name-of-your-town/city auditions." I live in San Antonio, and googling "San Antonio Auditions" took me to a site that compiles auditions in the San Antonio area, it was great.

This is the best national list I have seen. http://www.playbill.com/jobs/find/search_results.html Most of the calls are likely to Union, so, yes, a regional list is best. Try www.craigslist.com under gig>talent. You get local casting calls. Also try the tv/film/video szection under jobs. Just be sure to do your homework to make sure it is not a scam or porno thing.
