nope! some girls don't start having their periods until they are 16. you're perfectly normal. also, don't freak out if it's inconsistant for a few months. congrats on growing up!

No regular age, really. I started at 10. My best friend started at 17. We're both normal. But it does tend to run in families. If your mom and grandmas and so on started around that age, then that's to be expected.
Also, don't be surprised if you don't have another one for a few months or even a year. Sometimes it can take that long to get started at being "regular," or in other words, monthly.
I thought I had "wished" mine away, since I hated the idea of it so bad. When it came back a year later I was truly shocked.

Menstruation usually begins when a girl is about 12 or 13 years old (puberty) and continues until menopause. These are considered a woman’s reproductive years and indicate the woman is physically able to become pregnant. Menstrual periods usually occur once a month and last for several days during each month...

I started when i was 13 so I don't think you are late at all. Really it depends on the woman so you are fine as long as you have it its all good. I would be more worried if you didn't get it yet.

I started mine when I was 13, but it's not uncommon at all to start at 14. I know some people who were 16. It depends on you...every individual is different and it also depends on when your mom started hers.

The normal age range to start your period is from 11 - 16. It is not unheard of for a girl to start a little younger (especially if she is obese) or older (if she is very physically active, like athletics.)

Going by that you are normal.
