According to all religions so far not many people will be with God in the end .Ask people if they are going to heaven or hell and a bunch will admit hell . If questioned can you say that you have followed the regulations set down by the faith you supposedly follow .Forgiveness is the loophole most rely on .Live today confess tomorrow is the rule of thumb .
Well I would of gone to church and prayed more if I knew i would end up in hell . So most people believe what they want picking and choosing what commandments to follow and when .
At the end if asked why they broke so many of the commandments and sinned so often it is because God will forgive me .
You get blown up in an airplane crash SO I hope everyone is praying on board the flight when they strap on the seat belt before take off .
What about the car accident on the way to the store .Does anyone in a split second have the time to ask for forgiveness .
As I study and look at people I notice a trend in putting off the unpleasant things in life .
Like taking time out on Sunday to go to church . Divorcing all the time over and over .Cheating and lying all the time ,stealing and thinking nothing about it at the time .
When asked they might delude them selves even further and say God will forgive me .
Religion is nothing more then a fall back for why did you do that .God said so is why . God has said so much over the years that it is ok to do anything .
Murder/kill others is fine along with torture lying adultery ask those people who work for the government if prostitutes have not been used to put powerful men in a position of being vulnerable to blackmail .
Our hole way of life is nothing more then a game of survival with rules to play by and penalties for those who do not fit in .
You must accept the challenge and play the game if you are to have anything in this world . Make up your own if you want but be careful the game has been going on for thousands of years and skilled players are out there .
I often look at serial killers as people playing a game that others just do not understand . AS they kill they are waiting for something to stop them but nothing does .
You can pray all you want and in the end a killer will do you in regardless . Put pray for a cure for cancer or a bad back and it is answered go figure . Never has a man prayed to get his leg back and grown a new one .

God is not a conscious entity like some judge in the sky. He is what is; He manifests himself in all things. The material world in which we live is a realm of manifestation, but it's not all there is.

So God doesn't need to stop it. At the same time, the power to stop sin in this world is in all of us, all the time. Some people call it the Holy Spirit. Don't be afraid that God doesnt care. When you pass out of this incarnation, you'll see you never needed to worry about it, either.

God cares. He cares so much that He gave His only Son so that we could have life and life in abundance. We live in a fallen world and it is not easy to see or understand the destruction, hate and evil all around us. The truth is that God has already provided the way to adbundant living...hope, healing, forgiveness, restoration, peace, comfort and love. Now it is up to us to make the right choice.

Of course he cares. Just like with our parents, we have free will to obey or disobey. We have the ability to heed their teachings or not listen at all. The same is true with God. Like a parent, he is happy and pleased with us when we follow His bidding. He is also disappointed when we stray (sin) and it grieves him....but he does not turn his back on us. He is very much near and waiting for our return. How else could he handle sin? He could flood the earth again (that wouldn't help). He could punish us severely (aren't we already punished by ourselves and consequenses of our sin?) Would we love Him more and would more people follow him if He were vengeful? I don't think so.

I took 3 seminary courses on this topic alone. I can single-handedly shoot down every theory offered here... but then offer nothing of my own that I can't shoot down as well.
My take? God is not all-powerful. That's my conclusion -- that God isn't powerful enough to stop such things.
