Ad-aware is quite good I think...

I think AVG anti-spyware and AdAware have the largest detection databases. Spyware Doctor and SpySweeper are definitely good, but overhyped.

I use 5 free anti-spyware programs, namely Windows Defender, AVG anti-spyware 7.5, AdAware, SpyBot, and Spyware Terminator. You may say that it will too heavy on memory, but as I have activated the real-protection of only Windows defender and configured the others to give on-demand protection, hence no stress on memory. Together these 5 software detect about 99.9% of spyware and over 90% of trojans. I have AVG to deal with viruses and rest of trojans. I also have ZoneAlarm firewall.

So, I can proudly claim to have one of the strongest security for free, and slap those who say 'free is bad'.

yes, ad-aware is quite good (and it's free, thats an advantage), but it can't remove newest threats (i.e. antivermins), good antispyware should update more often.
