There really isn't a best. Most people mistake high price with quality. I am a make-up artist and I know that is just not true. Usually every line of cosmetics has one or two good products. For example, there really isn't much you can do to the formula of pencil form eyeliners, kohl is kohl. So buying a $20 one is not going to be any real difference than buying a $1 one.

So, what is the best way to find products that work best? If you see someone wearing make-up that you like, ask them what they are using. And, just for general information. L'ancome and L'oreal are the same company, so there really is no difference in their products. It's all just marketing, so don't be fooled.

I love Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals. I've been wearing it for 4 years and I've noticed a difference in my skin. I love that it doesn't clog your pores, you control the coverage and it has an SPF 15.
If you're near a Bare Escentuals boutique or Sephora store stop in and check it out. Both carry a starter kit which is $60-$75 depending on where you get it. The basics that are in both are 2 foundation shades, warmth, mineral veil, 3 brushes, skin rever- upper as well as an instructional DVD.
Give it a try, you have nothing to lose except the time it took to purchase it and if you don't like it, return it.
Good luck!!

I have experienced the Bare Minerals way. This is not make-up it's what I call a beauty enhancer. It's ground down to the finest grains of natural minerals. It doesn't run, clump or make your face dry. Over the course of using it it actually makes your skin smooth. You can put on the foundation or you can make-up your entire face. Either way you won't look made up you''ll only look enhanced. I would and have recommended this product to all of my friends. You can pronounce what's in this product unlike some others. I recommend Bare Minerals to all. Once you start buying it, you'll want the entire collection of beautiful colors.

If you want a make up line that is different from everthing out there, try Scott Barnes. He does J.LO's and Jessica Simpson, and Carmen Electra all have worn his line.He specializes in that dewy glow look you see on runway models. The line sells on his site and QVC, and high end stores like Saks. A lso Mally Cosmetics has great stuff , she is Beyonce's makeup artist.(also can be bought onQVC and some on EBAY. P.S the look for 2007 will be more sheer lips and more greens and smoke colors for eyes.)

There are a ton of great products out there, but for someone with sensitive skin (and who is NOT willing to spend tons of $$$ when I can get a comparable product for less) I go to the Clinique counter at my local mall. My gal there will explain the products and skin advice to me without shoving crap down my throat to buy. I still use some stuff from Maybelline (Great Lash mascara is one of THE best of all times) and Cover Girl (Marathon mascara - stays on through swimming, crying, anything!) but for my face I use Clinique "Almost Makeup" with SPF 15. Covers up any redness but I can still see my freckles and I get the sun protection for about $15.

Whatever brands offer the best color and wuality make up. Test out different brands at a Sephora. I currently mainly use Stilla , lancome, and Mary Kay. Just look around, not every brand of makeup will work for everybody. GL!

There is not really best makeup for everyone, because everyone is looking for something different, need something different, or want to try something different. If you dont want to spend alot of money on makeup: go to Walgreens or Target and shop for products from covergirl. If you want to buy something that is more money or a little more varity: go to department stores that have products from mac, chanel, clinque. Personality, i use clinque and where i live; i get the best service and i love their products. So like i said before they is no best makeup its only what you want to shop for.

I LOVE www.bareescentuals.com. It's a face-friendly fondation and facial make-up that actually IMPROVE your face's texture and zitage. Very nice to have!

The best part is that if you buy from their website you'll actually get refills a few times each year.

Depending what type are you looking for. If you are looking for a mineral one, I recommend the Everyday Minerals Intensive Formula. If you are looking for eye shadows and eye liners, I recommend MAC. If you are looking for mascara, I recommend Diorshow. If you are looking for long lasting foundations that do not fade on your skin, I recommend Revlon Colorstay foundations-
