I believe this to be cheap silver. I have some too! Lol. It was fairly cheap and is silver in colour so I am guessing that is what it must be.......?!

if the ring is silver then this would be 925 as in sterling silver. If it is gold then may be a date ? The normal hallmarks are a symbol for where it was hallmarked i.e lion=London anchor=Birmingham 2 or 3 letters which are the maker initials and a single letter representing the year that it was made, and the sign for what it is made from i.e 925 =silver 375= 9ct gold or if it is foreign it may just say 14ct

925 denotes silver. It is non English silver as this is hallmarked with a leopard to show it is "Stirling Silver"

If, as I suspect, it's silver, then it's actually .925. This means it is 92.5& silver and 7.5% alloy. (Sterling Silver).
