people complain about the gifts that they got? i do. i hear alot of people say they didnt get what they wanted and it sucked. well why cant they just appreciate what they got and be happy that they got something at all? i remember when i was a kid the christmas's that me or my brother didnt get anything for christmas, at all. but we did not complain nor pout. i am grateful for everything i get.

Yes. Peeple don't HAVE to get you presents fer Christmas. They get them cuz they want to. Don't be so ungrateful.

We live in a world of instant gratification. Sad but true. People are used to getting what they want, and getting it 2 minutes ago. A lot of these people that you talk about can be chalked up to no home training. They were probably given anything and everything they wanted, and didn't have to work for it. Or they had to work so hard all their lives, they feel like they deserve to have exactly what they want, when they want it. I guess it boils down to a feeling of entitlement.
Just shrug them off. A little disappointment will do them some good, and it seems that you already know the joys of giving and recieving. Let them complain. They are showing their true colors.

I'm a grateful person. But if you get something that just isn't you. I have a telescope, that I've never used. because the stars just don't interest me, I've never figured out what gave my mom the idea of a telescope. I never gave any hints that I liked it. I'm grateful, for the things I get, but If I don't like something and I'm never going to use it what's the point of acting like I am. It just going to gater dust.
That why I would rather get money or food. Two gifts that I know I will use.

Some people are so greedy and think everything should be handed to them on a silver tray. I agree everyone should be more appreciative on what they get..So what if they dont. I am like you I am grateful for what i did get.Really didnt want anything and told all that too.

People tend to forget the spirit in which the gift was given. They should be grateful for anything at all.

I especially hate when people go so far as to call the giver "thoughtless" when the giver went out of his/her way to buy something for the spoiled recipient.
