After the botched execution in Florida, both California and Florida have a moratorium on lethal injections to perform executions. So, why not use a method that is quick and much less subject to human error? Thoughts?

Just use any method of execution used in 1789 when the Constitution was adopted.

By definition, they should not be deemed "cruel and unusual."

I don't think the US ever used the guillotine. I could be wrong.

Yes, it was one of the most efficient means of capital punishment. Not without problems though - at times several blows were necessary to kill the prisoner. With good maintenance, and keeping the blade sharp, that could be avoided.

I think they should bring something like this back - and give the person a sedative first, so that they won't struggle or really be aware. We just need an efficient way to take a person's life.

Equally effective, and 100% effective, would be to stick the prisoner's head in a 10 tonne press. These machine never go wrong, are incredibly fast, and would certainly kill someone.

There are too many cases where law enforcement goes too far and an innocent person is sentenced to death - the innocense project has found over a hundred cases so far.
If a person is guilty of a death sentence case, death is too swift and being locked up with no human contact, no visitation, mail or even chance to be out of a cell for over an hour a day would be far worse, and then if and when they are found to actually be innocent, they can still be released.

OH yeah!

We need more speedy executions. I am tired of paying for a murderer or rapist to live 10 more years in jail while they appeal a conviction.

We need to have public executions. We need examples of what is going to happen if you do the crime.

A bullet to the head is fast and easy ...just like a dumb animal..which most of these murderers and rapist are any how..just big dumb animals..the scum of the world.
