How can I reinstall my Windows Media Player?

The media player shuts down before I have an opportunity to try and reinstall the software.

- Settings
- Control Panel
- Add/Remove Software

Choose
- Add/Remove Windows Components

Click OFF the Windows Media Player checkbox and APPLY. This should remove Windows Media Player.

Repeat these steps and then click ON the Windows Media Player checkbox again. You MAY need to insert the original Windows CDROM if it asks for it.

just simply go to www.windowsmediaplayer.com and you can install media players from version 7.1-11. at now charge!
