I know there are many annoying people who use fowl language and just are downright mean, is this who they are talking about?

Yahoo trolls, recently made homeless by the shutting down of the news article message boards, are vile creatures that post inane drivel and occasionally off-topic nonsense. Since Yahoo chose not to enforce even basic aspects of its user agreement and chose to largely ignore repeated abuse notifications from other users, the troll population exploded like a room full of unsupervised and unspayed rabbits. Finally, critical mass was achieved in late November and the boards closed on December 19. They will supposedly be re-opened later with a new format. Trolls will still exist and unless Yahoo chooses to make troll control more draconian, it will flourish. They also report people for no good reasons and spread viruses
Spammers will reply with nonsense like "I dunno" They also tend to advertise, or post the same thing over and over again

Trolls will leave irritating, insulting or nonsensical drivel as an answer just to annoy you, insult you or amuse themselves. Spammers will leave short answers that don't always make sense, and a link to a site. Not all links are spam (as the asker of a question may have requested a certain website(s)) but most spammers leave links.

What you have just experianced is a simulated encounter with a troll. They tend to be immature yet some are occasionally moderately enteliggint.
A spammer leaves the URL (link) to a website that he/she wants you to see. I won't simulate that so that I may keep my account.

kinda, they mean people who write bad things in questions just for upset reactions, like going to the homosexual section and asking something horrible like "all you f@g$ know your going to hell right?" and stupid things like that
